Cool!! Wonder if this will convince AG to at least roll with me

Very few couples will use the sparring positions they adopt in boxing in a non-boxing context.
Quite a lot of couples will already be using the sparring positions they adopt in BJJ in a non-BJJ context.
I’m not sure whether this make rolling together a good thing or a bad thing, but it will certainly make a difference.

I know loads of couples that do BJJ together, including my husband and me. Despite other times that you might use BJJ in a non-BJJ situation, it never comes up on the mat. We’re too busy trying to defend the choke/armbar/heel hook to be thinking any ‘adult’ thoughts, and that’s the experience all of my other friends have reported, too.

yes, there are a few couples that I know off, and I’m positive it never comes up on the mat. That would be too weird in the middle of class!!
And as an update, I did teach AG a few submissions. We did kung-fu together a few years back too. I guess doing martial arts just isn’t her thing.
